"The delivery entrance is around the back," his recorded voice said.

Richard lowered his head. Bradley's insult about the bus station followed, then Katherine's suggestion that Madison had wandered inside from the street. Victoria's dismissive explanation of how executive appointments worked drew a visible reaction from two directors. When Helena threatened to involve the police, Naomi paused the footage and noted that no contemporaneous security report had identified any actual threat or prohibited conduct by Madison.

The recording continued. Katherine's voice filled the room, telling Madison she did not belong and never had. Gregory appeared a few minutes later, heard Sarah say the name Madison Parker, and told her to remove the visitor before the chairwoman arrived. Finally, the footage showed the confrontation at the elevator, Bradley taking the portfolio, Tyler Reid gripping Madison's elbow, and Thomas requesting verification through the proper security channel.

Sarah's voice trembled from the speakers. "Please. Just let me make one more call."

Gregory looked down at the table. The recording ended with Madison standing beside the elevator, fastening the Sterling pin to her blouse. Naomi left the final frame on the screen, then turned the lights back on. No one at the board table spoke for several moments.

Madison looked first at the directors, not at the six executives. "I want you to understand why I asked for that footage," she said. "It wasn't because I require deference as a chairwoman. What I require is an organization that can identify the difference between a security concern and contempt for a person who appears to have no power."

One of the retained directors, Jonathan Reed, shifted uncomfortably. "Madison, this is distressing," he said. "But perhaps emotions are especially high during the acquisition. We should establish whether the executives misunderstood the authorization."

"We absolutely should," Madison answered. "The visitor list was incomplete. That was an administrative failure. The threats and insults were choices made after the failure became apparent. Confusing those two facts would be another failure."

She described the morning without exaggeration. She acknowledged that she had chosen not to call Olivia immediately and that she had wanted to observe the verification process. She also described her repeated offers to complete the published procedure, Sarah's attempts to reach the correct office, and Thomas's intervention. No one was permitted to pretend the footage proved something it did not, but no one was allowed to dismiss the things it plainly showed.

Ava Sinclair spoke next. "We received preliminary reports during the elevator ride. Independent counsel has reviewed the acquired company's governance documents, and the board has the authority to remove officers from their posts today while employment and contractual issues are examined. We can also impose immediate access restrictions to preserve records."

Madison nodded. "Then I move that this board act on the authority confirmed at closing. We will remove these six executives from their operating positions effective immediately, place their employment status under formal review where required, and authorize independent counsel to determine cause under their contracts. Their access to sensitive systems will end now, with their personal rights preserved and their company records secured."
