“I have thirty-one.”

The businessman in 2A looked down to hide a smile.

Patricia continued.

“You’re missing the point.”

“No.”

Rodriguez’s voice remained controlled.

“The point is that our system has verified both passengers.”

“She doesn’t belong here.”

“That is not an operational category.”

Patricia lifted her phone.

“My viewers are watching this.”

Rodriguez looked directly at the phone.

“That does not change the regulations governing this aircraft.”

Then he turned to Diana.

For a second, Diana saw the question in his face.

Enough?

She gave the smallest nod.

Rodriguez looked toward Maria.

“Pause boarding.”

Maria notified the gate.

The cabin door remained open.

Rodriguez faced Patricia again.

“Ms. Henderson, I am giving you one final opportunity to comply with crew instructions. You will occupy your assigned seat without further harassing another passenger, or you will be removed from the flight.”

Patricia stared at him.

“You’re threatening me?”

“I am informing you of your choices.”

“You’ll regret this.”

Rodriguez’s expression did not move.

“That remains to be seen.”

Patricia pointed toward Diana.

“What about her?”

Rodriguez looked at Diana.

Then something subtle changed in his posture.

He was no longer speaking to a passenger.

“Ms. Washington, I apologize that the situation has reached this point.”

Patricia froze.

Diana said:

“Thank you, Captain.”

Rodriguez continued.

“Would you like us to terminate the incognito evaluation and handle this under executive security protocol?”

The cabin went completely silent.

Patricia looked between them.

“What?”

Maria closed her eyes briefly.

It was over.

Diana put her briefcase on the empty seat.

“Yes, Captain.”

Rodriguez nodded.

Then turned toward Patricia.

“Ms. Henderson, the passenger you have been accusing of ticket fraud is Diana Washington, founder and chief executive officer of Skyward Airlines.”

Patricia laughed.

Not because anything was funny.

Because her mind rejected the information.

“No.”

Nobody responded.

“No.”

She looked at Diana.

Then Maria.

Then Rodriguez.

“This is staged.”

Diana said nothing.

Patricia pointed at her.

“She told you to say that.”

Rodriguez held up the crew tablet.

Diana’s internal travel profile was visible.

Not a public webpage.

The operational company profile.

DIANA WASHINGTON

FOUNDER / CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

INCOGNITO SERVICE EVALUATION

Patricia stared.

Her livestream continued.

Comments began moving so quickly they became unreadable.

Maria said:

“Ms. Henderson, you have spent the last several minutes verbally harassing the founder of this airline while refusing crew instructions.”

Patricia’s voice broke.

“You expect me to believe a woman like her owns an airline?”

The words landed worse than everything before them.

No ambiguity remained.

No misunderstanding.

No possible explanation about ticket quality or aviation procedure.

Only prejudice.

Diana finally stepped closer.

She did not raise her voice.

“That is exactly the problem.”

Patricia’s phone trembled.

“I didn’t mean—”
