Ryan coldly responded without hesitation. "That's not our problem.

They're just tools, and tools can always be replaced. The most important thing is to protect the dividends for the major shareholders, myself included.

This decision is non-negotiable."

Otis's heart froze as she listened to those casually cruel words. She realized she could wait no longer.

Thomas had once hoped and had once placed his trust in her, and now she could no longer stand by and let his legacy be destroyed by his own son. Otis stood up straight, her gaze filled with determination.

This was the moment she had been waiting for over 30 years, the moment Thomas had always believed would one day come. She had endured enough invisible wounds.

Now she had to step out of the shadows, not only to reclaim her own honor, but also to save the hundreds of innocent lives teetering on the brink of losing everything. That night, in her small room in the basement, Otis meticulously prepared the documents proving her ownership of the shares.

Tomorrow, she would no longer be a ghost of the past. Tomorrow, the world would know the truth.

The next morning, Sterling Corporation was immersed in an unusually tense atmosphere. Everyone knew that today's board meeting would decide the fate of hundreds of employees, but no one knew that an even bigger surprise was waiting just around the corner.

Otis walked slowly down the familiar hallway, but today she was no longer wearing her usual janitor uniform. Instead, she wore a smart suit, an old yet neatly kept jacket she had preserved carefully over the years.

Her gaze was firm, and the old leather briefcase containing the stock ownership documents was held tightly to her chest like a precious treasure. Inside the large conference room, the discussion was tense.

Ryan Sterling sat at the head of the table, his face cold and authoritative, surrounded by board members whose faces showed concern only for profits and numbers. Ryan had just finished his chilling speech about the employee layoffs when the door to the meeting room suddenly swung open.

All eyes in the room turned toward the door, and when they saw who had entered, the room fell into a silence so thick it was suffocating. Ryan furrowed his brow, his voice dripping with anger mixed with mockery.

"What are you doing here, Otis? The bathroom's down the hall, not in here."

A few members of the board chuckled, their eyes filled with derision, but Otis did not flinch. She calmly walked in, moved toward the long conference table, and gently placed the leather briefcase in front of her.

"I'm here today, gentlemen, not to clean, but to attend this meeting as the largest shareholder of Sterling Corporation."

The laughter in the room stopped instantly. Ryan leaned back in his chair, folding his arms in a gesture of contempt, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
