The cameraman lowered his equipment, and Nadia thanked Daniel warmly before stepping aside to let the small crowd approach him properly. Over the next hour, Daniel found himself shaking hands with strangers, listening to their car troubles, and slowly realizing that his quiet little garage was no longer just his own.

Grace approached him during a brief lull in the crowd, looking a little shy. "I hope this isn't too much," she said. "My mom didn't mean for it to blow up like this."

"It's a lot," Daniel admitted, glancing around at the unfamiliar faces filling his usually empty parking lot. "But it's not your fault, or your mom's. People just needed something good to hold on to, I guess."

Karen joined them again, holding a small paper bag. "I brought you something. It's not much, just a thank you gift. Some homemade banana bread. It was the only thing I had time to put together this morning before my shift starts."

Daniel accepted the bag, touched by the gesture. "You didn't have to do that."

"I wanted to," Karen said firmly. "You gave my daughter more than just a working car last night. You gave her a reason to believe that kindness still exists in strangers. That matters more than you probably realize."

As the morning went on, more people continued to arrive. Some brought their cars for genuine repairs, curious to meet the man behind the viral story. Others simply wanted to shake his hand or thank him personally, saying the story had reminded them of their own struggles, their own moments when a stranger's kindness had changed everything. By midday, Daniel's small shop had more work lined up than he normally saw in an entire week. He worked quickly, moving from car to car, trying to keep up with the sudden demand while still processing the strange whirlwind his life had become in less than 24 hours.

During a short break, he sat down at his desk, staring at his phone. He had never used social media much, mostly just to see photos Chloe's friends' parents posted from school events. Now, his name was being mentioned across dozens of platforms, shared and reshared by people he had never met, all praising a decision he had made without thinking twice.

He scrolled through the comments slowly. Somebody wrote that they had been struggling to trust people since a difficult divorce, but reading this story had reminded them that good people still existed. Another comment came from a young man who said he had lost his own father recently, and that reading about Daniel's dedication to his daughter had brought him to tears. Someone else, a stranger from another state entirely, offered to send money to help support the shop, saying business owners like Daniel deserve to be rewarded for their honesty.

Daniel closed the phone, feeling a strange mixture of gratitude and discomfort. He had never wanted recognition. He had simply wanted to help a scared teenager get home safely. Now, it felt like the whole world was watching him, waiting to see what he would do next.

Chloe called him during her lunch break at school, her voice buzzing with excitement. "Dad, everyone at school is talking about you. My friend showed me the video on her phone. You're basically famous now."
