Shelves.

Oil drums.

At six thirteen, the image flickered.

At six fourteen, a shadow moved behind the shelving.

Jojo stopped breathing for a second.

“There.”

Walsh froze the frame.

A leg.

Gray fabric.

Human.

Miller’s voice dropped.

“Call law enforcement.”

Jojo looked toward him.

“You sure?”

“I’m not giving anybody what they came here looking for.”

Lucas understood immediately.

If somebody had broken in and waited inside their building, there was a reason.

And if the reason involved provoking armed bikers into doing something stupid, the Steel Vultures were not going to cooperate.

Miller called a trusted county detective directly while Lucas remained near the door.

The response would take several minutes.

The person inside moved again.

The latch clicked.

Lucas stepped back.

“Nora.”

She looked at him.

“Office. Now.”

This time she obeyed without argument.

She gathered her backpack, sketchbook, and phone and went into Miller’s office.

She left the door open two inches.
