The third showed the group entering the property.
The fourth showed Marissa pointing at the visible camera.
"Turn that away from the bay," her recorded voice said.
Trent climbed the ladder and pushed the camera aside.
Ruiz paused the video.
"She knew she was being recorded," the uniformed deputy said.
"Apparently," Ruiz replied.
Marissa stepped forward. "We were concerned about confidential association files being captured by a third party."
Ruiz turned to her. "Whose camera did you believe that was?"
Marissa went quiet.
Duncan clicked the next clip.
The higher hidden camera showed the same scene from above, including Marissa's face as she watched Trent reposition the lower unit.
The fifth clip captured the rented truck, the association boxes, and Marissa giving instructions near the dock.
"Get everything moved before Vale gets back," she said on video.
This time Ruiz stopped the clip and looked at Marissa for several seconds.
"If you believed you already had lawful possession," Ruiz asked, "why did his return matter?"
"Because I anticipated confrontation."
"Then why not ask law enforcement to be present?"
"We did not think that was necessary."
Duncan advanced to the office footage. Trent pried open the filing cabinet. Marissa asked for title documents. Hard drives were moved.
Ruiz's expression changed almost imperceptibly.
"Did you remove anything from this office?" she asked.
"Not to my knowledge."
"Did you authorize the cabinet to be forced open?"
"We were securing association interests."
